Well worth the purchase

These days I prefer most things in digital form, but the art book is one area where the physical form has significant advantages.
This paperback version is THICK and relatively large, but the real kicker is the print quality which is superb. You can really study the pencils/inks/colors of Mr Timm's work in great detail.
I will be revisiting this book many times in the near future. If you're on the fence about this purchase, I would recommend picking this up before it goes out of print. The initial run was sold out and prices rocketed to close to triple the cover price. As of this writing, Amazon has it back in stock for twenty dollars less than the cover price (fifty). This price won't last long. This looks like an expensive book to print so there is no chance they are overprinting this sucker.
That said, this book is actually well worth triple figures. I'm such a fan that I'm going to try to track down the hardcover edition which is even more expensive. An impressively gorgeous collection of work.

Beatiful Art!!! A must have!

This book features amazing art by Bruce Timm feturing many women drawn in various mediums. At first, I thought it was going to be just feature random female drawings that Timm has done over the years but to my surprise it also includes a section of drawings on the many female heroes and villains of DC comics(Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, etc.), though I wish it had included his drawings of the Marvel ones too. Either way, this book is a must have and especially if your a fan of Timm's art.

I've been waiting for this book for a long time. Bruce Timm is a master of cartoon art and has learned his craft by studying from the best in the business. I see influences by Frazetta, Wood, DeCarlo and many others. This book is without a doubt well worth the price on it. I'm a freelance illustrator and I buy a lot of art books. This is up there with the best of them. If you love cartoon art you will not be disappointed in this one. And if you do like this kind of art you may want to look at some of mine.
