I really like this collection. The arrangements are nice, very well adapted for piano. I especially like the arrangement of Eyes on Me; it fits the piano perfectly. This is a good deal for an FF8 fan. If you can't afford the book or want to try a single piece from it, there are scans available online, but the book is very nice to have.

Final Fantasy VIII: Piano Collections
This product is a small collection of piano arrangements of some of the music from Final Fantasy VIII.
I was very happy with the pieces they chose to include in the book. (I already own the soundtrack).
I enjoyed most of the arrangements as they faithfully captured what Uematsu originally wrote. Part of the challenge of arranging these pieces is coming up with beginnings and endings for what in some cases is a continuous loop of music in the original medium.
The only arrangement I was disappointed with was "Ami". In the game "Ami" is the background music for the so-called orphanage scene. I was hoping for an arrangement that was closer to the original song. It is an important piece in the soundtrack as there are several other pieces, most notably "Balamb Garden" which are variations on the theme of that piece.

Really nice music book!

Unlike in the FFVII piano collection, the names of the songs in this FFVIII collection are in English, which really helps with finding the right songs. This collection has most of the really famous songs from FFVIII, including "Eyes on me". For fans of the FF series, especially those who grew up playing these games like me, this book is like a piece of childhood.
