RoS guide is Excellent Starters Guide

The strategy guide is just that, a guide and is helpful in navigating through RoS. There are still things to learn and try out, quirks in the game that Blizzard will tweak and such. Take your time to enjoy the game and learn what works well and not so well. Use the Adventure Mode to grow and gain the gold you will need to build and repair your characters.

Best Strategy Guide

If you are playing a game like Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, you have to buy this strategy guide!! The software doesn't come with a user's guide. So if you haven't played Diablo at all, you should throw this in your cart and order it right away. It contains info about the character classes and their skills, monsters you will face, weapons classes, characters you will meet & walk through of the 2 new acts!! Love this book!!

Magnificent guide for the Diablo addict; up to date and has just about everything you need for RoS

This is the perfect guide for the Diablo III lover. The guide is just amazing, and it covers just about everything you'll ever need to know for RoS and the majority of Diablo III. There's a section for each hero class, comprehensive list of all the legendaries, info about every single enemy, tips and tricks--you just have to see for yourself.

Though the one con for me is that even though it lists all the legendaries, it doesn't list any of the set items.

A Wonderful real-life tale of Hope and the human spirit

This book tells an amazing story. There is simply no other way to describe it. It is the real-life story of Saroo, a five-year-old child in a village in central India, who gets lost and finds himself transported all the way east to Calcutta, some 1800 kms away. Young Saroo, all of five, penniless and illiterate, does not even know the name of his village and knows little else about where he was from. He gets off at the bustling, crowded Howrah train station and survives for six weeks in the intimidating bad and mean streets of Calcutta by his instincts and luck. He ends up at a benevolent orphanage called ISSA, where the kindly Ms.Saroj Sood - tries to find his family and re-unite him. But all Saroo can tell was that he was from Ginestlay, which is what he remembered as his village's name. He also mistakenly says that he travelled just overnight by train when in reality he had travelled almost 24 hours to get to Calcutta. After a couple of moths' futile effort, Mrs.Sood pronounces him 'lost' and organizes him to be adopted by Sue and John Brierley, a young couple from Tasmania, Australia.

Saroo is lovingly brought up by the Brierleys and he grows up into a happy and well-integrated Aussie over the next 20 years. However Saroo always wonders about his origins, with clear memories of his birth mother Kamala, his kid sister Shekila and elder brothers Kallu and Guddu, whom he looked up to as a child two decades before. He starts working on trying to find where he was from by using the feeble memories of his childhood. All he had to go by was that there was a train station whose name was something like 'Berampur' , that it had a water tower, an overpass across the tracks and that the town had a fountain near a cinema. His village 'Ginestlay' was somewhere nearby and that they were all reachable overnight by train from Calcutta. Gradually, over five years, with incredible patience and perseverance , Saroo, at age 30, using Google Earth's satellite images and Facebook, miraculously locates the train station with the identifying features of his childhood. He notes that a nearby town is called Khandwa and that there is a Facebook group belonging to people from Khandwa. He contacts them and gets the key info that there is a nearby village called Ganesh Talai - the 'Ginestlay' of 5-year-old Saroo! Saroo soon goes to India and reconnects with his birth family to the great delight of his elderly mother Kamala and his siblings Shekila and Kallu, who are now married with children. Sadly, Guddu, his eldest brother whom he adored as a child, was killed in an accident just on the same day that Saroo got lost 25 years before. Otherwise, it is a happy resolution for Saroo.

Not only Saroo, but his Aussie parents, Sue and John as well, come off as wonderful, loving and caring parents and individuals. Sue herself was a WWII refugee from Hungary and her story is also inspring as told it in the book. Saroo's birth mother Kamala is another remarkable woman, who never gave up hope that her son Sheru (which is his correct name!) would return one day. Hence she never moved from the shack where she lived so that she will be there when Saroo comes back! The other heroes in the book are the internet, Google Earth and Facebook! It is a great tribute to these wonderful technologies which make it possible for the adult Saroo to sit ten thousand miles away in Hobart, Australia and exactly locate the water tower and overpass of his childhood memory and find out the correct name of his village. Let no one denounce technology again!

I found the book moving, inspirational and one of hope and the indomitable spirit of the humankind. It is a story of triumph against great odds. Going through the early chapters where Saroo survives for six weeks as a five-year-old in Calcutta, I had palpitations as I felt anxious that nothing terrible should befall young Saroo! The book also has a special appeal for me since I grew up in India and lived for 13 years in wonderful Australia.

Kindness of strangers and Persistence can work miracles.

This was an awesome, harrowing, frightening, poignant, story of little 5 year old boy, lost in Calcutta. His instincts kept him alive, avoiding starvation, capture by nefarious men, and being beaten up by other homeless kids. His whole existence centered around searching for food. Hunger was always with him. This story makes you wonder why India doesn't try to help the millions and millions of its citizens whose lives revolve around searching for food and getting clean water. This boy finally trusted someone who brought him to a place for homeless children, and then he was moved to an orphanage The orphanage was run by a caring lady whose job was to find homes to place the orphans. Saroo's life took a complete turn in another direction when he was placed with a family in Australia. I can't wait for the movie to come out staring Dev Patel. I really hated the book to end. Saroo thrives in his new life, with the love of a mother and father. But he always wonders what happened to his mother and brothers and sister in India. He knows his mother would never stop hoping he would return home. He uses modern technology, Google Earth, on his computer to try to find his home in India, but he is relying on his 5 year old memory. This is a must read.

Incredible Journey

Probably one of the most fantastic "lost and found" stories ever written. No doubt, this has all the earmarks for an excellent screen play. I hope they do the story justice in the movie version.

The author addressed some of his inadequate assumptions in his search for home due to faulty memory. I kept asking myself, though, why he didn't search in areas where tigers are found in India. He recalled going to his father's house only a two hour bus ride from where tigers could have "eaten his brothers" when they ran away. A quick search of rail lines adjoining these few locations, along with a search for cities with train stations starting with "B", which he also recalled, would have yielded a quick discovery.

At the same time, his actual slow and methodical Google Earth search for home from Calcutta rail lines where he was lost only made the story more poignant since it was based on his memory and the frailties of his youth. It made for exciting suspense as he detailed his search, while the reader played with their own hypothetical forensic techniques to find his home based on 20:20 hindsight. Heck, even I could make a movie out of this story and sell it!

I do like that this book covers a variety of spiritual mythologies ...

This book is alright as far as content is concerned. There are some real nuggets herein but there is a lot of meaningless and baseless explanations. Many explanations are also redundant and he explains so many different terms with the same definitions as though the author's own understanding was quite limited. I do like that this book covers a variety of spiritual mythologies which is enlightening to some extent. If one is looking for a good presentation of idioms and metaphysical meanings of words of the Bible in the Judeo-Christian tradition then a far better book is "The Metaphysical Bible Dictionary."

5 stars = I freaking LOVED this book!!! I want more Bowens!

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

I love all of the Bowen brothers and their ladies, but Christy and Cole’s story is my favorite among them. As a plus-sized gal myself, I felt an almost immediate connection to Christy the first time I read Heavy Issues. Needless to say, when I found out that their story was going to continue in Heavy Secrets I was beside myself with glee and that increased exponentially when I was offered the chance to read it early! And it was AWESOME!!!

It’s been a while since I last read Heavy Issues, so I don’t remember if Christy’s mother Martha was introduced before and I merely blocked her horrid character from my mind or not, but I was ready to crawl inside my Kindle and throttle that woman…multiple times. Good grief! With a mother like that, who needs enemies? But her presence helped to highlight the love that Cole had for Christy as evidenced by the fact that he didn’t confront Martha at Christy’s request. And when Christy finally reached her breaking point with her mother, the love that she had for Cole was even more apparent. But there was far more to the story than dealing with Martha and her constant attacks on Christy’s self-esteem as Cole found himself confronted with his past and the havoc his mother’s desertion and death wreaked on him emotionally. But you’ll have to read the book to find out what happens because that’s one spoiler I won’t reveal.

Heavy Secrets provided the same reading experience as every book in the Bowen series has for me – the opportunity to hang out with great friends. I laughed…A LOT. I teared up a few times. I cheered Christy on when she confronted Cole. I cheered her on even more when she dealt with her mother. I felt Cole’s pain. I squirmed while reading the freaking hot sex scenes. And my jaw dropped at the unexpected revelation at the end of the book. Oh! My!! GOD!!! Ms. Aycart I cannot wait to see where you take the series now.

5 - "Were we chipping in for a bodyguard?" Stars!

Elle Aycart is an author whose work I never tire of. The Bowen brothers and the series of books that Elle has built around them are some of my all-time favourite reads. Why? Because although they are essentially romance/erotica at its best, she always manages to add just a little something to each one to make them completely different from anything else you are currently reading. James, Cole & now Max have all found and are happily settled with their women. One married, one engaged and one well on the way. Heavy Secrets gives us a chance to catch up with the dark, dirty and dominant Cole, and bubbly, curvy, and geeky Christy.

”I love you… but but* the flock out.”

This is a quick, completely entertaining and extremely funny read. Cole and his brothers have such a way of interacting with each other that you can’t help but giggle at their antics.

”You’re a Valentines Day virgil, aren’t you?”

Cole’s inner monologue and dry sense of humor as well as acceptance of Christy’s geek hobbies had me laughing away at points as well, but there is a deeper and more emotional aspect to this novella in relation to both of them dealing with the darker parts of their pasts.

”You are not fat. I won’t stray. And you do not need to get knocked up to keep me.”

If you have read the previous books you know that Christy’s weight and food addiction issues have played a massive part in making her the strong character she now is, adding her one weak link back into the chain for this novella, Elle gives the reader a glimpse of the mother from hell, and just how manipulative a woman she really is.

It makes this novella all the more poignant for me, having dealt with a lot of Christy’s issues myself it was good to see her stand up for herself, and not fall back into the old habits she had left behind. But on the flip we also see Christy call Cole out on his s***, when issues from his past are unexpectedly bought back to the fore, forcing him to address parts of his past or try and rebuild those walls that being with Christy had bought down in the first place.

God how I love this pair, I love the Bowen Family in general, and this little catch-up offers plenty of entertainment and surprises to make it a worthwhile and enjoyable and sexy addition to the series.

After six months together Cole and Christy’s relationship has just grown stronger. That is, until Christy’s mum comes to stay, bringing back to life Christy’s old insecurities, driving Cole insane. But, an unexpected call brings back past hurts for Cole, driving him back to his old way of distancing himself from those he loves, mainly Christy.

Do you know when you manage, through fluke or excellent planning, to read the perfect book for your mood? Well, that was exactly what happened with Heavy Secrets, I fancied something a little bit sexy, a little bit sweet, with a hero that was willing to sweep me off my feet. Well. Heavy Secrets delivered me just that.

I really enjoyed Heavy Issues, the book that shows you Cole and Christy getting together, so I was looking forward to checking up on them in this novella. It is kind of essential that you read Heavy Issues before this, I definitely wouldn’t have liked it as much if I didn’t know Cole and Christy’s background. Although I haven’t read any of the other books in the Bowen series; an oversight I mean to correct!

If you like your heroes all alpha and bossy, with a dirty dirty mouth than Cole is the man for you. He was certainly the man for me; he knows how to get gal all hot and bothered. Of course, he only has eyes for Christy, the only woman who has managed to take him on an get past his defences.

A great quick read and like a pint of Ben & Jerry’s I managed to get through it all in one sitting and unlike a Ben & Jerry’s there was no guilt at the end when you realise you have just taken the last spoonful; however, it was just as moreish.

Good basic, but sophisticated beach home ideas

This is a good book on the basics of how to decorate a coastal home. For the novice in "beachy" decor or the landlubber who craves a coastal look in their landlocked home, it gives general information about paint colors, lighting, accessories, furniture choices, utilizing the natural beauty of the ocean view, and use of a variety of textures to enhance the seaside home. The photography is superb, but i found the colors atonal and drab at times and the distressed furniture and "shabby chic" look somewhat boring and unappealing. The authors' tone is quite sophisticated and they seem to write with a definite European sensibility and flair.

Inspirational Resourse & Coffee Table Book

I have seen this book in many exclusive homeware stores throughout Sydney [Australia] at quite a high mark up - so was easily tempted to purchase on Amazon with competitive pricing and AUD being quite good at the time. Overall this book is both an inspirational & aspirational book. It can easily sit comfortably on a coffee table or - as in my case in my design library as a resource to refer to for pure visual & wordsmith candy. I enjoyed looking through this book - however if you are thinking with will give you a blow-by-blow directive on how to set up a Coastal style - this is not the book for you - this is at a higher interpretive aesthetic level. All the same an incredibly gorgeous book and one worth adding to your library. Enjoy.

Good college-level introductory text

Manuel Velasquez's "Philosophy: A Text with Readings" takes a different approach from many introductory philosophy texts. It's not just an anthology in that it contains a significant amount of Velasquez's own interpretation. However, it also includes a good amount of primary-source material and extended passages from philosophers past and present. The book covers the nature of philosophy, human nature, reality and being, philosophy and God, the sources of knowledge, truth, ethics, and social and political philosophy. There is also a postscript entitled "The Meaning of Life." I would recommend this book as a college-level introduction to philosophy text.
